The department offers a broad range of services for the management of diabetes. Continuous Medical Education programs are frequently conducted within the department for physicians and patients to increase the awareness about Diabetology.
Since Diabetes is increasing rapidly in the population and can virtually damage all organs of the body, this department has taken an active, comprehensive approach in the preventive and management aspects of diabetes. We offer coordinated care in the screening, management and prevention of complications in diabetes all under one roof, with specialists from various other disciplines. This clinic is supported by a Dietician, Physiatrist, Ophthalmologist and Nephrologists. We also offer Diabetic packages which have been designed keeping in mind the holistic approach to diabetic treatment.
Our Diabetic Foot Clinic is geared to provide one-stop care for patients who suffer from the foot-related complications of diabetes. The key members of the diabetic foot clinic team include a Diabetologist, Vascular surgeon, Interventional Radiologist, Podiatrist and Physiatrist. The clinic provides timely detection and management of high risk foot complications through the identification of risk factors for ulceration and amputation. We provide effective and prompt treatment for ulcers, infection and ischemia. Rehabilitation from diabetic foot related problems, including total contact cast and appropriate footwear advice, are also facilities offered by this clinic.
